| Dear Parents, Our theme of study for April will be plants. We will do several planting experiments to see how plants grow. We will look at different seeds and study roots, shoots, flowers and fruits! If there are any parents or grandparents that have expertise in gardening or farming and would like to come and share your knowledge with our kindergarten, please let me know. We would love to have you visit! The children are now able to read the short vowels a, i, and o. This month we will add the short e and the consonants w, x, and y. Continue to give your children opportunities to sound out words with you. In math we will continue reading and creating different pattern combinations. We will identify right and left, small, medium and large and will practice counting forward and backward on a number line. We will also continue with addition practice. We will gather in the Library on April 19th for our Kindergarten class meeting. The children will enjoy an Easter party hosted by Mrs. Jennings and Mrs. Carlton on April 21.. The year is progressing quickly! Thank you for all you do to enrich your children’s learning. Looking forward to a great April! |
