Parents: Grandparent's Day is coming up soon. We are planning a program for that day and need your help with costumes. Our program takes place in the "zoo" so the kids will dress like zoo animals. The girls will be bunnies (not quite a zoo animal, I know!) and will need to wear a solid white sweat suit (shirt and pants) without pictures or words printed. They will wear bunny ears which Mrs. Stanley has located for us. The boys will be lions and should wear a brown or tan sweat suit--no words or pictures on it. We will ask for a small fee to cover the cost of "heads and tails". More information coming later. |

Parents: You should receive a letter in backpack mail today concerning a classroom project that Becky Ball is working on. Fielding received from a school in Louisiana a letter and 100 strings of Mardi Gras beads, which he shared with our class! Therefore, we would like to send this school a little surprise. Becky will use your child's photo to make a calendar of Virginia to send the kids. She will return your photo to you. Thanks for you cooperation and many thanks to Becky for her creative idea!! |

Blue and White Day |

Remind your children to wear their blue and white tomorrow for the Pep Rally at 2:30. They can bring their pompoms and clackers which they bought earlier in the year. Thursday, February 26, we will conclude our bird study by bringing a bird related "show and tell" and making edible bird nests. Your child could bring a stuffed animal or other bird toy, a bird picture, or a bird story to share! I plan to wear my Cardinal socks and a pelican pin! Thanks for your help. |
