March 5 2019

As of today we have received 126 re-enrollment contracts!  Adherence to the deadline date is important as we plan staffing and class sizes for next year.  We are currently working on the 2019-20 budget and it is imperative that we know how many students will be filling our hallways.  Thank you, again, for your support as we strive to fulfill our mission of helping each child reach his or her full potential.

ACDS will host a final Open House on Sunday, March 17 (3-4pm).  Please invite friends, family and neighbors to come and see all of the exciting things we are doing at Aylett!  YOU are our best ambassadors to spread the word about ACDS.  If you know of any interested families, please share their contact information with Ayron.

Congratulations to Piper Atkins (Ray Atkins ‘96) and Madison Mundie (Scott ‘89 and Stacy ‘90) for winning this year’s Alumni Association Legacy Scholarships.  Both students will receive a $500.00 tuition credit for the 2019-20 school year courtesy of the Alumni Association.

Wednesday, March 13 – 4:00 – Colonial Beach at ACDS
Wednesday, March 20 – 4:00 – Montross at ACDS
All home games are played at Essex County Little League Fields at 1183 Marsh Lane, Tappahannock.

Aylett Country Day School will be offering summer camp for children ages 3-12 this year!
Camp will be held for 8 weeks, Monday-Friday, from 8:00-5:30:
June 17-21
June 24-28
July 8-12
July 15-19
July 22-26
July 29- Aug. 2
Aug. 5-9
Aug. 12-16

Campers will enjoy “Summer in the Country” with swimming at a local pool, river activities, STEM projects, games, and fun in a safe environment.

The cost is $150/week, $1100 if you enroll your child for “All Summer”, or $35/day with advance notice.  Financial assistance may be available.  An online registration form was emailed yesterday to all families.

For the last two years, our school community hit the 100% mark for parent participation in our annual fund campaign!  This is such an important distinction for our school.  This year we are looking to repeat the level of successful participation.

As parents who have chosen Aylett Country Day School for your children’s education, we are already investing in their futures.  However, tuition dollars alone do not cover the costs of the excellent experience at ACDS.  Funds that are raised through annual giving, League events, and from outside grants are crucial to the success of Aylett and our children.

Please help us achieve 100% parent participation again by giving to the Annual Giving Fund.  Any amount helps our cause!  Donations can be made online: http://acdspatriots.net/annualgiving.html.  Thank you very much for your support as we move toward our goal of $100,000.00.
